Reading a public page is not the same as owning what is on it. Reclipco is built around that distinction, and this page explains exactly where the line sits.
The two modes
Reclipco has two separate modes: Link Inspector reads public information and attributable text, while Creator Converter processes media you upload and control. Inspector can export its normalized record and the provider-published preview cover. It does not turn a public link into a downloadable original video or audio file.
What Inspector does
Inspector reads bounded metadata that YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest and Tumblr expose for a public post, and preserves a canonical source link and retrieval time. Saved sources export as JSON, CSV, Markdown and text. A preview cover is proxied only from an allowlisted platform image host when one is published. Inspector will not bypass private access or retrieve the post’s original video or audio. Exact fields vary by platform and post.
What Converter does
Creator Converter accepts private files under the displayed size limit. Its worker performs fixed-profile video, audio, GIF and image conversions from verified uploads and returns private, expiring downloads. Subtitle generation, thumbnail packs and transcript-selected clips are not available until their dedicated workflows are released.
Reporting misuse
If you believe a Reclipco account is being used to redistribute your work, email rights@reclipco.com with the account and the material. Reports are prioritised for review; response time depends on the evidence and legal requirements.
Takedowns
Reclipco may restrict access to reported material or suspend an account while a credible complaint is reviewed. Outcomes depend on the evidence, applicable law and any valid counter-notice.
Creator protections
Connected-account exports and metadata watermarking are planned controls, not live features. Private uploads are currently isolated by workspace and protected by row-level and object-level access policies.
